Personal data processing during internal alien's control
The Police Authority will process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679), and other applicable data protection regulations.
Swedish Police Authority can control a foreign citizen's right to stay in the country, according to 9 chapter 9 § Alien's Act (2005:716). Swedish Police will process personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679), Act on Personal Data of Aliens (2016:27) and other applicable data protection regulations.
Personal data is processed by the Police Authority in order to execute its mission, with the purpose to conduct a check at the Swedish territory on an alien’s right of residence. The personal data will only be stored for as long as necessary, for the purpose of the control.
You can request information on whether the Police Authority processes personal data relating to you. If you consider such personal data to be inaccurate or incomplete, you may request to have it rectified or completed.
